KK, a 15 year old, who has learning difficulties, was brutally assaulted by officers of the Metropolitan Police.

KK was punched 4 times to the head and elbowed 3 times in his mouth in a police van. An officer also held him in a headlock.

KK was eventually charged with assaulting a police officer and robbery. He spent 43 hours in custody.

At trial, KK was exonerated, and subsequently brought civil proceedings against the Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police for damages for assault and battery.

KK has been profoundly traumatised by the conduct of the Metropolitan Police.

Following service of the Claim, and prior to a Case and Cost Management Conference, and extensive negotiations by Imran Khan QC and Daniel Cooper, the Metropolitan Police have agreed to pay substantial damages to KK.
