Daniel Cooper, Partner at Imran Khan & Partners, appeared on Sky News to discuss the legal action being brought against Norfolk County Council on behalf of survivors of abuse at the Red House children’s home.
The case centres on allegations of sexual abuse, physical violence, and emotional trauma suffered by children placed in the home.
Speaking to Sky News, Daniel highlighted the authorities’ alleged failures to protect vulnerable children in their care. He also emphasised the urgent need for truth and accountability:
“We know that the truth always comes out in every single major public scandal.
We urge Norfolk Council, who we say are at the centre of this, in whose geographic area Red House was based, to tell the truth.
They were aware from very early on that central government were concerned about the abuse and allegations of abuse, and they failed to act.”
