Imran Khan & Partners have been instructed to act for Mr Vickrum Digwa in the Attorney General’s reference concerning sentence and in his appeal against sentence at the Court of Appeal. They are also instructed to represent Mrs Kiran Kaur – Vickrum Digwa’s mother – in her appeal against sentence.

Imran Khan and Partners have instructed Imran Khan KC leading Annabel Timan of Doughty Street Chambers - https://www.doughtystreet.co.uk/barristers/annabel-timan - to represent Mr Digwa and Mrs Kaur in these matters at the Court of Appeal.

Henry Nowak, aged 18, was fatally stabbed in Southampton on 3 December 2025. Following a trial at Southampton Crown Court, Mr Vickrum Digwa was convicted of murder and possession of a bladed article. Mrs Kiran Kaur was convicted of assisting an offender after removing the weapon from the scene.

The Attorney General’s reference, Mr Digwa’s appeal against sentence, and Mrs Kaur’s appeal against sentence concern important sentencing issues, which will be determined by the Court of Appeal in due course.
