Baroness Doreen Lawrence OBE and Imran Khan KC have given evidence before the High Court in a privacy claim against Associated Newspapers, the publisher of the Daily Mail and Mail on Sunday.


Baroness Lawrence gave evidence about the impact of alleged phone hacking, blagging and other unlawful information gathering, describing how it made her feel like a victim all over again during her long campaign for justice following the murder of her son, Stephen Lawrence.


Imran Khan KC, who has represented Baroness Lawrence for many years, also gave evidence in the proceedings.


The case raises serious issues concerning press conduct, privacy rights, and the treatment of individuals at times of profound grief. Associated Newspapers denies the allegations.
