Queenie Sit
Paralegal
Queenie works with Daniel Cooper on a range of cases, involving inquests, actions against public authorities, prison law matters, historic sexual abuse cases, professional discipline, and quasi-criminal matters (e.g. injunctions, contempt). She has worked closely on the following cases:
-
TfL criticised after man killed on Tube track in police search
-
Woman killed herself after south London hospital neglect, coroner concludes
-
Inquest jury finds multiple failures in the death of a prisoner from psychoactive substances
-

Coming from Hong Kong and Singapore, Queenie understands the importance of representation for those whom the state mistreats, silences, and disregards. Prior to working for IKP, Queenie worked at the Helen Bamber Foundation, providing legal casework and anti-trafficking advice to survivors of torture, trafficking, and human rights violations.
Queenie is a career changer, and draws on her knowledge of corporate structures, policies, and procedures to help clients understand their rights and how the injustices they have faced can be remedied.
Queenie graduated with an Upper Second-Class Honours from the University of College London, and a Distinction in her Masters of Law in Queen Mary University of London. She is currently undertaking her Bar Practice Course at the Inns of Court College of Advocacy (ICCA) and hopes to qualify as a Barrister.
