As part of regulatory requirements set by the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), all regulated law firms are expected to gather and publish diversity data from their workforce.

 

Everyone within the organisation, not only legally qualified staff, must be given the opportunity to take part in the survey. That said, participation is entirely voluntary, and individuals are not required to complete the questionnaire if they choose not to.

 

The purpose of collecting this information is to support efforts in identifying and overcoming barriers affecting underrepresented groups, ultimately contributing to a more inclusive and skilled legal sector.
