Biant Bansal

Partner

Biant (Ben) has been a practising lawyer since 2004. He is a Partner and has been at the cutting edge of Criminal Defence since he joined Imran Khan and Partners in 2007. He is a Higher Rights Advocate (HRA) and regularly conducts trials in the Crown Court. 
 

Ben has also successfully completed the Criminal Litigation Accreditation Scheme, allowing him to act as a Duty Solicitor and supervise junior members of staff. He has built up a strong client following, based on the quality of the services he provides.

 

He continues to build his professional expertise and unwavering commitment to Defence work. 
 

Ben specialises in cases of murder, terrorism, serious violence and other high-profile cases and large-scale conspiracies to

supply controlled drugs. He is also police station accredited and regularly attends police stations to represent his clients. 
 

Ben is fluent in Punjabi, Hindi and Urdu.

Notable cases:

 

R v SS

  • Successfully persuaded the court to consider an alternative sentence to custody for a third strike drink driving offence. 

 

R v RG

  • Represented a landlord on trial for harassment at Highbury Corner Magistrates Court

 

R v DS 

  • Represented youth at Highbury Corner magistrates court for possession of a bladed article. Representations made and accepted by the court to have the matter referred to the youth offending team to avoid the client receiving a conviction
